Mission and Vision

Our Mission

To heal the pain of abuse and neglect in children by providing children in kinship and foster care with permanent homes in an intergenerational community.

Our Vision

To see every child in our community nurtured in a loving home and become a productive member of our society thus many lights shining in the world.

Why an intergenerational community?

A well designed and carefully planned intergenerational community makes sense and has proven effective at Hope Meadows, our inspiration model. The success rate of over 89% of children being adopted into permanent homes begins to tell the story of a community where members share a common purpose of supporting children and their caregivers. Relationships develop and become the foundation of the community.
  • Children deserve a safe, nurturing and stable home.
  • Families adopt children from foster care who might otherwise spend their childhoods drifting from foster home to foster home until they age out of the system at age 18 with no home and limited resources.
  • Adoptive families and kinship caregivers providing children with care, guidance and love benefit from the support of others in the community.
  • Elders experience a richer life filled with purpose and meaning as they build relationships with each other and the younger generations.
  • Supportive and familiar family, neighbors, friends, “honorary grandma and grandpa” provide the stability and continuity children welcome.
  • As elders age and their needs change, friends within the community rally to provide the compassionate care they deserve.
